Volunteer: Non-Construction

Most people think of swinging a hammer when they think about volunteering for Habitat.
Due to the tremendous amount of planning and management required to build just one home, we have a constant need for committee members and volunteers to help with various other tasks. You don't need to be an expert in any of these fields to help out! There are many tasks that require only a willingness to learn and work with others.
Listed below are some of the non-construction volunteer opportunities
Office/Clerical
- Office Assistance - We can use volunteers to help out with mailings, answering the phones, and general office activities. Some computer experience is helpful.
- Marketing - We are looking for volunteers to write articles for our newsletter and website. If you enjoy writing, this is for you!
Committees
- Members - We have many committees that often need assistance or new committee members.
Hospitality
- Lunches - We need volunteers to provide lunches for work groups of 8-10 on Saturdays. This would be a perfect opportunity for volunteers under 16!
- Events - We need volunteers to represent Habitat at community events and on the job site when large groups come to volunteer.
