Be the change you want to see! Your time and hard work make a real difference in our community and Habitat for Humanity would not be able to do what we do without the help of our dedicated volunteers.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Habitat for Humanity is best known for its homeownership program building alongside families in need. Homes are sold to the qualified homebuyers with an affordable zero percent mortgage. Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity also renovates homes and repairs owner occupied homes to qualifying residents. No previous construction experience is required!

The Scott Street, Williamsport, Habitat construction site is open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 8AM to 3PM. Daily activities will vary and may include painting, drywall, framing, carpentry, roofing, site clean-up, and landscaping. Instruction and tools are provided on site, no experience is necessary.

Volunteer at
the Habitat Office

Office Angels are essential to our office operations. Consider joining our team one or two days a week to answer phones, process data, write publicity, respond to emails and other office duties. Our staff team is remarkably collaborative and supportive with each other and part time volunteers.

Volunteer at the ReStore

The ReStore is a retail outlet where quality used building materials, furniture and appliances are sold to the public at discounted prices. We are always looking for volunteers to keep the ReStore running smoothly! Our volunteers greet customers, clean and test products, organize and load/unload donations.

Community Service at Habitat

Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity works with individuals who need to complete service hours including select court ordered community restitution, and students for service learning.

Volunteer on Home Preservation

HOME PRESERVATION (minor, exterior repairs) are underway. Call for more info.

NEW CONSTRUCTION is expected to being in May, 2023 on Scott Street, Williamsport. Activities will include painting, drywall, framing, carpentry, roofing, site clean-up, and landscaping. Instruction and tools are provided on site, no experience is necessary.

Committee Members

Habitat Committees are active. Volunteer Committees lead Family Selection, Homeowner Support, Finance, ReStore and Development work.
